The Vortex
Have you ever noticed how negative thoughts spin out of control like they are being propelled into a spiral of uncontrollable motion? Our thoughts then control the stories we tell ourselves about the world—perpetuating fear, doubt, criticism, misery, despair, self pity, anxiety, bad luck and so much more. They then control the emotions we feel— as each thought passes by, it’s energy gets deposited into the body. Our story continues and we look for evidence to prove ourselves right. Right?
This is what we call the Vortex.
The phenomenon that the thoughts we put into the Vortex begin to gain momentum and pick up various debris along the way.
But wait a second. It’s Not All Bad!
As the Vortex works with negative thoughts, it also works just as quickly with positive thoughts! Place some positive thinking into your Vortex and watch the positive momentum pick up. Soon you will start to feel better, more positive, the world opens up, you see possibilities, you feel like things will work out, life doesn’t feel so scary, things start coming to you, answers come, things do start working out for you, trust in this invisible power begins to increase, you feel gratitude for life, for the world & for its people and all the sudden you are sitting in joy & happiness —how? Because you are attracting what you are thinking, you are manifesting your own reality, you are playing an equal part in the life you experience, and you are no longer a victim to life.
You are putting good things into your Vortex.
This is the Law of Attraction.
For me, with a history of mental health diagnoses & addiction, it is important that I start my morning off putting gratitude and positive thoughts into my Vortex first thing upon waking up. Turning my will over to my Higher Power and asking to be of maximum service to this world. I used to wake up with a cynical, ungrateful, resentful attitude—aka depression, which kept me in mental & emotional pain.
The Vortex is helpful but without asking for spiritual help & guidance & being graced with the cloud of weightlessness that is.. God ..around me, I am still nothing.
Love you all. Thanks for being apart of this journey with me. <3
